An island nation, Seychelles is located in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar and about 1,600 km (994 mi) east of Kenya. The archipelago consists of 115 islands. The majority of the islands are uninhabited, with many dedicated as nature reserves. The Seychelles are one of the world’s most beautiful tropical islands destination.
Seychelles was the land of pirates, in particular Anse Forbans (Pirate’s Cove) on Mahé Island and Côte d’Or on Praslin.
